Kikuo (きくお), also known as Asian melancholic and Kikuo Sound Works (Born September 21, 1988)[1], is a freelance music producer from Kanagawa, Japan. Proficient in composition, arrangement, lyricism, mixing, and mastering, he utilizes computer-based music programs for his creations.[2] Notably recognized for his Vocaloid music since 2010, Kikuo's unique style blends dark themes with upbeat melodies.

Ikitama[]
On December 31, 2013, Kikuo and the illustrator for his previous albums, si_ku, collaborated on an album which they co-produced.
In 2015, it was announced that the duo would be called Ikitama. He continued to release albums under this name until 2016, with San-mai no Shashin wo Mita Hi ni wa (3枚の写真を見た日には) being his latest album.
KikuoHana[]
In 2016, Kikuo collaborated with utaite singer, Hanatan to create an album titled First Act (第一幕). The two named themselves KikuoHana (きくおはな), which is a combination of Kikuo's name (Kikuo きくお) and the beginning of Hanatan's name (Hana はな).
The duo created another album in 2017 titled Second Act (第二幕). In Kikuo's Kumoricon QnA, He announced the possible third album when asked if he was ever gonna collab with Hanatan.
